Gothenburg has excellent connections via the second-largest airport in Sweden, the city’s main railway station and several motorways make Gothenburg easily accessible. …Airport buses – Flygbussarna

It takes 20 minutes to travel between the airport called Landvetter and the city centre. Tickets costs SEK 95 single way and SEK 185 return, no cash accepted on the bus only credit cards. For information and timetable please visit www.flygbussarna.se

…Airport Taxi

Costs approximately SEK 420 to/from Landvetter Airport. Ask for a fixed price.
The driver should have a taxi ID card clearly displayed in the vehicle. Service is included in the taximeter price. Avoid unlicensed taxis.

Flying over the islands of the vast Gothenburg archipelago, it is hard to believe that you are just two hours from London, Paris or Vienna.

Gothenburg is centrally located within Scandinavia and direct flight hub to all major cities in Europe.

…GETTING AROUND

It is easy to get to the venue at Lindholmen. The ferry takes only 5 minutes from the city centre and the bus from the Central Station takes 8 minutes.
Public transport A well-integrated public transport system combines tram, bus and ferry travel. Tickets range from single fare to a pass valid for several days, or a city card, which can also be customised for the conference.
City bikes 1,000 city rental bikes are available from 70 stations.
Walking Gothenburg is easily explored by foot as almost everything is found within walking distance.
Taxis West Sweden’s largest taxi company, Taxi Göteborg, has 90 per cent environmentally friendly vehicles and favour eco-driving.

GOTHENBURG CITY CARD…

Göteborg City Card gives you free admission to lots of entertainment, sights, excursion, Liseberg amusement park (opposite the conference venue) and many museums. Parking and travel with trams, buses and boats are included. You’ll also get shopping booklets with discounts in selected stores. Maximise your stay in Gothenburg. The card is valid for 24, 48 or 72 h.

GETTING TO LINDHOLMEN CONFERENCE CENTRE…

…BY DIRECT BUS

The best way to get to Lindholmen is by bus. Line 16 departs every three minutes during high traffic in the morning and in the evening. During the day, it departs every ten minutes. It takes 6-8 minutes from the Central Station (Nordstan) to Lindholmen. To get to Lindholmen Science Park you can also take one of the following buses: 23, 30, 31, 55, 99, 126, 165, 199, 402 and 510. There are three stops close to Lindholmen Science Park: Pumpgatan, Regnbågsgatan and Lindholmen. If you’re visiting the campus or our main offices at Lindholmspiren 3-5, the closest stop is “Lindholmen”.

…BY FERRY

The ferry “Älvsnabbare” offers free rides and departs every ten minutes from Stenpiren and Lindholmspiren. The trip takes a couple of minutes and is available between 7am and 6pm. The stop “Lindholmspiren” is situated right in front of the Lindholmen Science Park area. There is also a pay ferry called “Älvsnabben” that runs between Stenpiren – Lundby Strand – Lindholmspiren – Slottsberget – Eriksberg – Klippan.

…BY BIKE

It’s a nice bike ride to Lindholmen, from the city centre, take Göta Älvbron and follow the signs to Lindholmen. From the Central Station, it will take about 20 minutes to Lindholmen by bike. It is also possible to bike to Rosenlund or Lilla Bommen and then take your bicycle on the ferry.

Gothenburg is a bike friendly city. Throughout the city you will find bike stands with rental bikes. For only SEK 75 you can rent a bicycle as often as you wish. The first half hour of each journey is always free, regardless of the number of journeys per day. Short time visitors can choose the 3-Day Pass, which can be purchased from any of the credit card terminals for just SEK 25. It is also included in the Göteborg City Card.

…BY CAR

Lindholmen Science Park is located close to the centre of Gothenburg. It takes about 5-10 minutes from the city centre to Lindholmen by car.

FROM THE BRIDGE “GÖTA ÄLVBRON” OR THE TUNNEL “TINGSTADSTUNNELN”

Drive towards Norra Älvstranden to Lindholmsmotet. Turn left under the railway, towards Lindholmen. Then take the first left onto Lindholmsallén. This is the main road leading up to Lindholmen Science Park.

FROM THE E6 NORTHBOUND, E20 OR HIGHWAY 45

From Stockholm, drive towards Oslo and follow the signs towards Hisingen/Hamnar and Norra Älvstranden. Take the left under the railway, towards Lindholmen. Turn left again onto Lindholmsallén. This is the main road leading up to Lindholmen Science Park.

From E6 Southbound, you simply follow the sign Norra Älvstranden and later to Lindholmen.

FROM THE BRIDGE “ÄLVSBORGSBRON”

Drive towards Norra Älvstranden through the tunnel “Lundbytunneln”. Follow the signs towards Norra Älvstranden and later Lindholmen.

PARKING…

Parking next to Lindholmen Conference Centre is located outside the main building, Lindholmspiren 3-5. It costs 12 SEK per hour between 8am to 10pm, other hours 2 SEK per hour.

Parking is also available, on the first and second floor, in the parking garage beside the main building.

By using the phone Parking, you only pay for your exact parking time and payment is made through a phone call or via the app “Parking Gothenburg” (Android and iPhone).
